Emberfall Saga

Emberfall Saga is the offline RPG I keep recommending to friends. You play a traveling healer who reluctantly picks up a sword, and the story leans into small human moments instead of grand prophecies. Battles are turn-based, with a nice positioning system where where you stand on the grid changes what your skills do.

The whole thing lives on your device — no account, no online store gating your progress. That freed me to grind a side dungeon on a long flight without a care. Character builds are flexible enough that two playthroughs feel genuinely different.
